Special Collections & Archives

The Oregon Queer History Collective, originally the Gay and Lesbian Archives of the Pacific Northwest, was founded with the intention of functioning as an archive for the cultural history of queer communities in the Pacific Northwest. The Collective continues to maintain special collections of queer artifacts and ephemera.

Additional historical materials from our collection are held at Oregon Historical Society, accessible to the general public both in-person and online.

What we’re doing right now

OQHC Archive Committee volunteers are researching collections, authoring metadata, developing trainings, and preparing materials for the launch of our digital archive.
